Day 3- Amy

The third day was really fun! WE went on the Surfside bike ride, which was easier and more fun!! The bike path was much faster, and I was finally able to keep up with the group, which boosted my confidence, and started my joy for bike riding! When we all got to Surfside, Steph, Ali, Tori, Cody, and I turned around and went to Juice Guys for Lunch! It was really good!! I got a smoothie called "Berry berry good" After that, we came home, and got hung out for a little while, then we got ready for dinner. We went to "The Summer House" for dinner. It was a lovely restaurant, located in Sconset, Nantucket. After dinner, we went to Meryl's house for dessert. We had fun, and played a game with marbles that we really enjoyed! Then we went to dinner.

Day 2- Amy

My day started suprisingly early, about 6 AM, which is early for me, and I am a morning person! Yes, the sheer sight of my perky face in the moring can make someone run in the opposite direction. If I was looking to go on a trip with early morning excursions, I had definatly picked the wrong one! About 30 minutes later Nils apperierd with a huge box of donuts for breakfast. We better be doing a lot of excersise on this trip...otherwise I am doomed! (ha, I didn't know about the 25 mile bike rides we would be taking just a short while later! How nieve of me!) After breakfast, we headed out to pick up these bikes that might aswell have been our bedrooms, for the amount of time we were spending on them! After we got out bikes, we went on a 12 mile bike ride. It was difficult for me, because I am not much of a biker, but I am gradually turning into a good one, and every day, I am enjoying it more! During the bike ride, I got a headache, so I took it slower! When we got back, we all took showers, and then we went to dinner. Dinner was good, and we ate at a place called the Ship's Inn. My dinner was lovely. I had a Ceaser Sald to start, Rissoto, and a bowl of Ice Cream. Then we came home, and went to bed.

Day 1- Tori

My name is Tori. I am the cute little one in the back. The smallest of the trio, and surprisingly the oldest. These two weeks are my vacation away from my crazy town and my big family of 7 and a golden retreiver named Rumsey (Rums-a-doodle for short). Whoopie.
Our four and a half hour ride to the ferry was rather amusing. First we made fun of a woman who couldn't read the road signs, so when Cody's dad Nils told her to go on South, she got on North. Idiot. We sang along to our favorite songs. Like HoDJa, and Sweet Caroline.
We arrived at the ferry and boarded our two cars. Nils, Cody, Amy, and I road in the Ford, and Leslie and Grandma road in the other car. As we were boarding Nils was talking to the ticket guy. He said that the ticket guy could take any one of us off of their hands. The ticket guy took a look at the three of us, Cody up front and Amy and I in back. He pointed at me and said "I'll take the cute little one in the back." Wonderful. I'm fifteen years old and yet I still manage to get called the "cute little one".
The ferry ride was about 2 hours and fifteen minutes long. We all were excited to get off of the ferry and onto the Nantucket island. The short 3 minute ride to the house was uneventful... sort of.
Our house is of course gray with a white trim. "Take a left at the gray house with the white trim"! Welcome to Nantucket, my friend. With the bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen and living rooms upstairs, the house is upside down. The three of us were excited to see the garage appartment which we would call home for the next 2 weeks. That excited ended when we walked inside and found clothes and food left behind by the family who owns the place. We made ourselves as comfortable as possible and unpacked.
When Ali, a girl from California arrived our gorup was complete. Well for the first week or so. Ali is a sicknasty girl, and was alright with sleeping on an airmatress on the floor next to Amy's pull-out-couch bed. Cody and I took the twin beds in the bedroom. We are a full house with the 10 of us. Steve and Dr. Nessen, Steph, Ali, Leslie, Nils, Grandma, and our trio. The Nantucket Trio.

Day 1- Amy

Hi, my name is Amy. I am 14, and a native brit, who moved to the United States 6 years ago, and have now been AMERICANIZED!! I came to Nantucket with Cody and Tori still recovering from my families all-in-one-go-21-hour-car-trip-to-florida, a journey I will never be able to forget. I have relitivly small family of four + 2 puppies, Bailey and Coco. This is a blog all about our trip, and it goes like this...

The morning was inevitable, we all knew that it was going to be difficult, changing wake up time from around noon to around 6:30 was going to be a bloody large wake up call for Cody…we were going to need a lot of coffee. Tori had a very, very pathetic breakfast of honey nut cheerios, while Cody and I just decided to skip it, no hunger, and no energy, great for a road trip!! We were on the road for just over 4 1/2 hours when we reached Hyannis, a place that had nothing other than strip malls, and commerical fishing buildings. We headed to the ferry boat place, and boreded the boat at about 1 PM. I was so excited, because I have a thing for Ferry Boats, (which, I like to call fairy boats because at night when the windows light up at sea, they look like little faries.)

The trip ferry trip felt like a movie. All three of us had our feet up, the wind was blowing our hair, and I was listening to all oy favorite songs, which really changed the mood of the boat. The ride was two hours and 15 minutes, but felt like no time at all! When we arrived, our breath was taken away by the view, of the idylic new england views of light houses, and the grey house with the white trim, which is maditory in Nantucket. Every house must habe the same material, color and trim!

When we arrived at the house, we were amazed at how beautiful it was. It looked like the perfect beach house, shells, and pastel colors everywhere. Tori, Cody and I were excited to find out that we had the garage apartment, with a direct walkway into the upside down house. It was awsome! We settled down, unpacked, and showered. Our Adventures were just begining!

Introduction To Us All

We are just three normal people spending the summer in Nantucket. Really. Normal, sane people. Or, that’s what we tell ourselves, but for some reason, people seem to think otherwise. I wonder why. We do most of the normal things, with our twist, like “shopping” in our terms means looking at books, searching for the sentimental pink sweatshirt or buy a bunch of crap from the candy store. But, that is shopping, and that is what we do. We maybe a little weird, or insane, but we enjoy every minute of it; we are Tori, Amy, Ali and Cody: Future world rulers, Charlie’s angles, and of course bookaholics.

We are not average 14 year olds, and we don’t fit into the “stereotype”, we don’t listen to rap, or music like Rhianna, we listen to the oldies, like Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and James Taylor. Yes, I admit, we do like clothes, but they do not rule our world. We are determined to be strong individual young women, and that is who we are.
